In November 2009 the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) established MyoGrad – the International Research Training Group for Myology. Partner institutions are the Free University, the Humboldt University of Berlin and the Medical Faculty of the Charité in Berlin together with the University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris (Paris VI). Eighteen stipends for PhD or MD-PhD students and five stipends for MD students are available within the program.

Thank you for your interest in MyoGrad – our International Research Training Group for Myology.
We seek to attract excellent and highly motivated students who wish to obtain a PhD in the field of muscle-related cell and molecular biology and intend to embark on a scientific career. We also welcome applications from medical doctors with a keen interest in clinical and scientific aspects of muscle diseases.
We offer 18 stipends for PhD or MD-PhD students for three years as well as 5 stipends for MD students for one year each.
The official start of MyoGrad was April 1, 2010. As the program is new and had to be announced on short notice, applications are still welcome.
